Beneficiaries

In the case of so-called “directed” projects, the Beneficiaries of the OP on Governance and Institutional Capacity for the 2014-2020 period are public entities, to which the Managing Authority or the Intermediate Bodies assign the initiation and implementation of the actions.

Otherwise, in the case of so-called “owned” projects, the Beneficiaries coincide with the Managing Authority or the Intermediate Bodies.

The beneficiaries are selected through open public procedures (calls for tenders and public notices) or based on agreements between competent public administrations, following specific technical and administrative appraisals.

The potential beneficiaries of the Programme are mainly public entities, such as central, regional and local government bodies, universities, judicial offices, public entities, peripheral government organisations.
