With regard to the shared management of the ESI Funds, a key role is played by the relationship of mutual trust between the Member State and the European Commission in the use of the resources.
To this end, the Member States shall establish reliable management and supervision systems conforming to the European rules, to ensure the proper use of the funds and the expected outcome, in terms of the growth and development of the territories concerned.
