PROGRAMMING

The Programme on Governance and Institutional Capacity for the 2014-2020 period is the result of a negotiation between Italy and the European Commission.

The process began with the transmission of the document in August 2014 – within three months from the presentation of the Partnership Agreement, as provided in the General Regulation (EU) for the ESI Funds – and ended with the presentation of the final version in February 2015.

The National Operational Programme on Governance and Institutional Capacity for the 2014-2020 period was adopted by Commission implementing Decision C(2015) 1343 of 23 February 2015 approving the support of the ESF and ERDF funds under the “Investment for growth and jobs” goal in Italy, for the period between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2020. The document also features two financial annexes.

In July 2016, a proposal for revision of the Programme was submitted to the Commission, examined and approved beforehand by the Monitoring Committee, which was approved by the European Commission with implementing Decision C(2016) 7282 of 10 November 2016. The revision primarily concerns the manner of implementation of Action 3.1.5, besides changes to the specific indicators of achievement and results.

This version should therefore be considered the reference text for the Operational Programme.
